Betty Crocker

I jokingly got called Betty Crocker the other day at my husband's office. That was a huge compliment to me! I love to cook, and do it all the time. Except for Thursdays. By then I'm pretty worn out, and need a break. Can you say Pizza Time! My husband's cousin started this amazing website called TheMeaningofPie.com. She posts recipes and gorgeous pictures of the whole cooking process. I have cooked many recipes off her site, and all of them are beyond delicious. I made the goat cheese artichoke dip today for a Christmas party. PHENOMENAL and sooo easy. The recipes are very doable, but decidedly gourmet. Don't you just love that sentence?! Start cooking, ladies.

Of course, I forgot to take a picture.

Christmas Time

Christmas time is the best. You have all the Christmas lights, the roaring fires, the presents, the sense of peace, and the spiked hot chocolate (with cinnamon schnapps, of course). Love it. But a major downside is all the dough you need to spend on everyone. I am not talking about cookie dough. Haha. Ok I'll stop. Anyways, I feel like more and more people get added to the list. Especially after you get married! I'm not griping. I love giving presents. I just don't like to pay for all of them. So here is a list of all my favorite sale websites. You can find GREAT gifts on these.

OneKingsLane.com -The best home sale website. They carry everything from bedding to tableware to candles. Great Christmas gifts on this site. They actually have a category for Christmas gifts.
Zulily.com -The BEST kids sale website. Period. Have everything from maternity, nursing gear, and children's clothing and accessories. Great service and very good selection.
Hautelook.com -Probably the most popular sale site. They have men, women, children, beauty, and home. Carry good brands, but I feel they have gone a little downhill. The site is slow, and good merchandise goes fast. Don't get me wrong, I have totally ordered off it twice this past month.
Gilt.com - Love this website. It is higher end, and more expensive. I browse most of the time :) The merchandise goes very fast on this website. If there is a brand you love, you better be on at 11:00 on the dot!
Ruelala.com -I don't go on this site very much. They probably only carry 3 designers a day. But feel free to check it out. A couple weeks ago they had Tory Burch.
Theminisocial.com - Good children's website. They used to be my favorite, but they have really cut down, and do not offer much merchandise anymore. Zulily is WAY better. Occasionally they have super good buys though.

Yo Gabba Gabba anyone?

Vans and Yo Gabba Gabba have teamed up to make shoes that not only you will love, but your kids too. Can you say geniussssss! No more fighting to get their shoes on! I know I just started this blog, and this is already my second blog about shoes. Yes, I am a little obsessed. River is too young to care what he wears, and North has moved on from Yo Gabba Gabba. So I'm pretty much doing this for anyone out there who thinks these are as cute as I do, and have kids that love this show. My lovely friend Brooke has a two year old named Krew. He happens to be obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba. Did I mention that these were in my Instyle magazine this month? Too cool for school.

Give me a piece of that!

My new obsession is Jewelmint.com. It was created by Kate Bosworth and her stylist, Cher Coulter. I love Kate Bosworth! Anyways, for 30 dollars a month you get to pick one piece of jewelry (that includes shipping). You fill out your fashion profile, and they pick out jewelry based on that. However, and this is what I love, if you don't like the selections you don't pay that month. You have to let them know within the first five days of the month. The jewelry is 70% off retail. I have loved both the pieces I've ordered so far. Every month the selection of jewelry changes. Check it out! Jewelmint.com
Here are the pieces I ordered:
The first piece will be featured in the December/January Lucky.

swarovski.... converse.... OH MY!!

So as I was wondering through our local christmas shopping market type thing something caught my eye. It was this little girl's shoes! She had on hot pink converse with crystals on the toe. I about lost it! Even though I have boys I had to know where she got them from, and if they possibly had any boy ones. I have been hoping and wishing for more cutesy boy things.... this helped ease my mind. They had boys!! I got my six month old a pair. Not to leave my six year old out, I asked him if he wanted a pair. For a six year old boy, I think they are way too blingy. For a six year old girl- FABULOUS! Much to my relief, he decided that they were too blingy for him. whew! After a whole week of waiting, I received them in the mail today. Here they are..........

These pictures DO NOT do them justice. They pretty much blinded my camera! The crystals are put on by hand, and the sizes start at 0 months all the way to youth size 3. They have way more options for girls, and if I had a girl I would be in serious trouble. Check them out at www.babyblingthingsboutique.com.

Lion King

My mom, who is quite the shopagrama, brought home this adorable hat from one of her trips to dallas. She got it at Gap. I then went online and ordered the zebra, moose, and giraffe. I just had to! You know how it is. They were irresistible. These hats are super soft, and will keep your baby's head warm. My shugie also doesn't seem to have a problem with it. In other words, he doesn't try to rip it off his head. They also have cute options for girls such as a pink pig, and a kitty cat. The hats are $16.50. Gap sends out an email every couple of weeks with a 20 or 30% discount code... So subscribe! www.Gap.com

Here's a pic of my little lion king!

1st post!

I would like to say heyyy!! to all my fellow shopamamas out there. First off let me define a shopamama.

Shopamama- A mother who has to buy a new object for her kid(s) everyday, hour, or minute.... Even if said so kid(s) happens to be pulling her hair out at the same time she is trying to reach for her credit card.

This blog will be about any fabulous finds I find for children.. or maybe adults too. I happen to find alot... sometimes so many I can't even handle it! I will try to keep up with them on this blog. Though sometimes I get lazy, and want to nap.

I started this blog because I am a stay at home mom with my 6 month old, and sometimes I get bored while he is taking naps. I then proceed to shop online. My favorite pasttime!! However.. My six month old doesn't really care about my purchases so I thought I would share them with the world wide web because I get really excited about them. I'm not even sure how to do this, or if anyone will read it. But if you do, I hope you will love it!

CHEERS!!
